[18+] The Reign of Bob – by Alfredo Cristinziano
Hypnotic and surreal, the work of Alfedo explores a mature, dreamy world. But, not just any world. In this world, the calmness of the mid-morning hours and the unfathomable mysteries of the darkness awaits, as if behind an imaginary veil. Each photo comes into our vision with the syncopated precision of a slide projector. Is this a series of flashbacks played in an endless loop in our dreams?
If these are flashbacks, have we perhaps witnessed them before in a small, quiet town in the pacific northwest?
One thing is for sure – the story in Alfredo’s photos conjures a world that we want to hold dear forever, even as the music in the background is waning and the world descends into the depths of the unknown.
We will brave the darkness, and we will be back.
