On Shrill Cats today is “Outsider” – a two-part series by photographer Ayu Watanabe (渡邉彩友) from Tokyo, Japan. This exclusive story was specially selected and told through both pictures and captions that are sometimes foreign to us. Yet, there is a beautiful, ethereal quality within these photos that is only heightened by the magical tranquility from the model. This editorial evokes a feeling of comfort and a sense of familiarity, but both visual and emotional elements in these photos brings emphasis to the word “outsider”.
